Board of Trustees
Regular Monthly Meeting Monday June 6, 2022
Call to Order: Loretta Sutherland, President, called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.
Board members in attendance were Loretta Sutherland, DeeDee Feeney, Ruth Gerbig, Kathy Bray, Laura Glunt and Floyd Barker. Others in attendance were Kim Riley, the library director. Absent was board member Alicia Hollingsworth.
Call for Quorum: Quorum met
Reading and Approval of Minutes: Minutes approved as read.
Reading and Approval of Financial Report: Receipts: $128,111.27
Claims: $22,932.55.
- Approval of Bills: Ruth moved to approve the financial report and 2nd by Floyd. Motion passed.
Report of the Director
- Maintenance issues – None
- Programming updates – Programming report will be attached to these minutes. For summer reading we added Pizza Hut as a sponsor.
- Other – Kim interviewed Wynn Zetterberg for the Programming Director’s position. He will be offered 35 hours at $15 an hour.
- Floyd moved to hire Wynn Zetterberg as programing director and Laura 2nd. Motion carried.
- Kim found a library clerk: Mary Ragland. She will be paid $9 an hour. Ruth made a motion to hire Mary Ragland as part time library clerk. Kathy 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Communications: None
Unfinished Business –
- Bond issue – We took a look at the email sent from Sheryl Sollars about what The Westfield Washington Public Library was needing first in their new building. We also read over an example of AIA agreement between owner and Architect. Library Bus Tour September 17th. Details to follow. We will meet with Harry Mohler during our July Board meeting.
- Land – We have from Ice Miller the resolution that will allow us to reimburse the cost of the land through the bond issues. A motion was made by Ruth and 2nd by Floyd to approve the Declaration of Official Intent to Reimburse the Expenditures. Motion passed with one abstaining.
- Hoopla – tabled for more research {Kanopy}
New Business: Performance Review for Kim Riley was passed out for us to complete before June 20th.
- Ruth would like to consider putting in trees to avoid looking at the building that is taking place out our windows. We do not have the budget for this at this time. We may have to wait until next year. Discussion was had about needing to wait until we have a design in place.
- The Sheridan Artisan Market gives a free booth for non-profits. We can use this for signing up for library cards, passing out flyers, and selling used books.
The next market is June 18th.
