Loretta called to order at 5:32 PM. Board members: Loretta Sutherland, Laura Glunt, Floyd Barker, Barbara Hybarger, and Alicia Burnell were all present. Kathy Bray and Ruth Gerbig were absent.
Call for Quorum
Quorum was met.
Discussion
No other business other than the board looked over the evaluation of Library Director Kim Riley.

Loretta called to order at 6:01 PM. Board members: Loretta Sutherland, Laura Glunt, Floyd Barker, Barbra Hybarger, and Alicia Burnell were all present. Kathy Bray and Ruth Gerbig were absent. Kim Riley, Director was also in attendance.

- Building Project Update:
- 7/15 Town Council meeting; Baker Tilly and Ice Miller will be present to discuss library decisions.
Reading and Approval of Minutes
Minutes stand approved as read.
Reading and Approval of Financial Report
Receipts: $141,733.11 Vouchers: $35,440.31
Approval of Bills
Motion was made by Barbara Hybarger and seconded by Alicia Burnell to approve the financial report. Motion passed.
Report of the Director
a. Programming updates: Summer Reading: 311 registered, 189 completed – 60%, 248 people logged,
2,677 logged books, 72,983 logged minutes.
- Attended meetings – Town Council (1); LEU webinars (0 hours); Hamilton County
Directors meeting (1); DPIL meeting (1); meeting with Baker Tilly; Hamilton County Council
meeting (1); Patron services meeting (1); State Library services update meeting (1).
- Acquisitions: 105 items added; 3466 physical items circulated & 1421 electronic items. 24 new cards
issued.
- d. Other: A motion was made by Barbara Hybarger and seconded by Laura Glunt to hire Vivian Olivas as the new library page. Motion passed.
Communications
a. Standards compliance letter
Received a letter from the state library that the Sheridan Public Library is in compliance within the 2024 year.
New Business
a. Communicable Disease policy review
A motion was made by Alicia Burnell and seconded by Floyd Barker to approve the Communicable Disease policy review as written. Motion was approved.
- Public library internet access
A motion was made by Barbara Hybarger and seconded by Laura Glunt for commitment to join Indiana State Library Consortium for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Motion passed.
- Salary Adjustment
A motion was made by Floyd Barker and seconded by Barbara Hybarger to increase the Library Director’s salary by 4.4%. Motion passed.
