Regular Monthly Meeting Monday August 11, 2025 6:00pm

 

 

 

 

Call to Order

Ruth Gerbig called to order at 5:58 PM. Board members: Ruth Gerbig, Laura Glunt, Floyd Barker, Barbara Hybarger, and Alicia Burnell were all present. Library Director, Kim Riley, was also in attendance. Kathy Bray and Loretta Sutherland were absent. Harry Mohler and Josh Winters of Ice Miller was also present.

 

Call for Quorum

Quorum was met.

 

Unfinished Business

  1. Building Project Update

                ***PUBLIC HEARING RE: NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION***

                            (See Excerpts of Minutes)

  • Ruth Gerbig led the public hearing with no additional comments from the public.
  • Motion passed.
  • Floyd Barker motioned and Barbara Hybarger seconded for the approval of the final bond resolution. Motion passed.
  • Barbara Hybarger motioned and Floyd Barker seconded for the approval of the final adoption of the resolution. Motion passed.

 

  1. Updates and discussion with Harry Mohler (Architect)
  • Discussions of changes that could be done to library were made in line with the budget.

 

 

Reading and Approval of Minutes

Minutes stand approved as read.

 

Reading and Approval of Financial Report  

Receipts: $27,414.98                   Vouchers: $111,859.76

 

Approval of Bills    

Motion was made by Alicia Burnell and seconded by Floyd Barker to approve the financial report. Motion passed.

 

Report of the Director

  1. Programming updates Summer reading ended on July 12. Summer splash was moved to August 1 due to weather on July 25.
  2. Attended meetings – Town Council (2); LEU webinars (2 hours); Hamilton County

Directors meeting (1); DPIL meeting (1); meeting with Harry; DLGF budget workshop.

  1. Acquisitions: 171 items added; 3127 physical items circulated & 1369 electronic

items. 22 new cards issued.

  1. Other Kendra has resigned. Elissa will be assisting with the adult programming.
