Regular Monthly Meeting Monday, May 11, 2026

 

 

Call to Order

Board President Loretta Sutherland called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM. Board members Floyd Barker, Laura Glunt, Ruth Gerbig, Barbara Hybarger and Kathy Bray were all present. Library Director, Kim Riley, was also present. and member Alicia Burnell were absent.

 

Call for Quorum

Quorum was met.

 

Unfinished Business

  1. Building Project Update

              – Still waiting on town to issue building permits.  Kim will talk to Jennifer Miller at the Town Council meeting tomorrow night.

 

Reading and Approval of Minutes

Minutes stand approved as corrected

 

Reading and Approval of Financial Report  

Operating:        R: $33,572.45     V: $37,465.53

Construction:   R: $.44               V: $80,025.39

Total:                 R: $33,572.89     V: $117,490.92

 

Approval of Bills    

A motion was made by Ruth Gerbig and seconded by Barbara Hybarger. Motion passed.

 

Report of the Director
a. Programming updates – see updates. Summer reading is June 1 – July 11

  1. b. Attended meetings – Town Council (1); LEU webinars (0 hours); Hamilton County Directors

meeting (1); meeting with Matt Mayol &/or team (1 hour).

  1. c. Acquisitions: 70 items added; 2552 physical items circulated & 1278 electronic
    5 new cards issued.
  2. Mike Reuter – Will attend our July meeting.
  3. Gift funds – There has been a lot of discussion regarding the use of gift funds. Staff is waiting on

direction from the SBOA and DLGF.  In the meantime, we will recommend patrons wanting to

donate to do so to the Friends of the Library.
