Regular Monthly Meeting

Monday November 10, 2025 6:00pm

 

 

Call to Order

Loretta Sutherland called to order at 6:04PM. Board members: Barbara Hybarger, Ruth Gerbig, and Alicia Burnell were all present. Floyd Barker, Kathy Bray, and Laura Glunt were absent. Library Director, Kim Riley, was also in attendance. Matt Mayol of Odle McGuire Shook was also in attendance.

 

Call for Quorum

Quorum was met.

 

Unfinished Business

  1. Building Project Update – Matt Mayol
    1. Board discussed OMS’s agenda and project updates.
  2. Reimbursements
    1. Board discussed reimbursable costs from 2022 to 2025.

 

Reading and Approval of Minutes

Minutes stand approved as read.

 

Reading and Approval of Financial Report  

R: $2,713,218.39             V: $31,426.35

 

Approval of Bills    

Motion was made by Ruth Gerbig and seconded by Barbara Hybarger. Motion passed.

 

Report of the Director

  1. Programming updates – see attached report. Santa will be here Sat. Dec. 6th from 9:30-11:30.  Board members are asked to volunteer if available.  Board voted to close for business that day due to Evergreen being down for upgrades.
  2. Attended meetings – Town Council (2); LEU webinars (1); Hamilton County Directors meeting (1); meeting with bond team (2); meeting with Matt Mayol (1); Patron Services committee (1.5 hours).
  3. Acquisitions: 157 items added; 2983 physical items circulated & 1422 electronic items. 25 new cards issued.
  4. Other – budget (LIT $600 less per month but $1500 more than estimated)

New Business
a. Salary Schedule

A motion was made by Barbara Hybarger to approve the salary schedule and seconded by Alicia     Burnell. Motion passed.

  1. Slate of Officers for 2026

Will be voted on next board meeting:

President – Loretta Sutherland

Vice President – Ruth Gerbig

Secretary – Alicia Burnell

Treasurer – Laura Glunt

  1. Evergreen will be down Saturday, December 6th for upgrades.
