Regular Monthly Meeting Monday, September 8, 2025, 6:00 PM

 

Call to Order

Loretta Sutherland called to order at 6:00 PM. Board members: Ruth Gerbig, Laura Glunt, Floyd Barker, Kathy Bray, Alicia Burnell, and Barbara Hybarger were all present. Library Director, Kim Riley, was also in attendance.

 

Call for Quorum

Quorum was met.

 

Unfinished Business

  1. Building Project Update:
    1. Floyd Barker made a motion to terminate Mohler Architects. Ruth Gerbig seconded the motion. Motion passed.
    2. The library is looking to other general contractors.

 

Reading and Approval of Minutes

Minutes stand approved as read

 

Reading and Approval of Financial Report  

Receipts: $28,290.50     Vouchers: $31,523.15

 

Approval of Bills    

Motion was made by Ruth Gerbig and seconded by Alicia Burnell. Motion passed.

 

Report of the Director
a. Programming updates – Programming report is attached.

  1. Attended meetings – Town Council (1); LEU webinars (2 day long conferences); Hamilton County Directors meeting (1); meeting with bond team (1).
  2. Acquisitions: 177 items added; 2689 physical items circulated & 1327 electronic items. 14 new cards issued.
    d. Other –     budget is in the hands of the Town of Sheridan. Public hearing on Sept. 16, 2025 and the adoption is Oct. 7, 2025.

 

Communications: none

New Business: Ruth Gerbig made a motion to approve the Internet Acceptable Use Policy and seconded by Kathy Bray. Motion passed.
