Board of Trustees
Regular Monthly Meeting Monday March 13, 2023 6pm
Call to Order: Loretta Sutherland, President, called the meeting to order at 6:01 pm.
Board members in attendance were Alicia Hollingsworth, Floyd Barker, Ruth Gerbig, Kathy Bray and Laura Glunt. DeeDee Feeney was absent. Library Director Kim Riley and Architect Harry Mohler were also present.

Unfinished Business
Land – No updates
Bond issue – (Harry) –
- Harry will meet with a Civil Engineer tomorrow to discuss the drainage.
- Harry & Kim met with Dennis Nail from the Sheridan Building & Zoning Office last week. They
had a positive meeting and left feeling the town with be a good partner to work with on our
project.
- Listening conferences have been set for Thursday April 13th at 6pm, Monday May 15th at 6pm
and Saturday June 17th at 10am to hear what the public would like to see happen with the library
as we grow.
* Kim, Harry, Loretta, Ice Miller, Baker Tilly & Anne Poindexter will meet on March 27th to go over
bond issue and financing.
June Board meeting – A motion was made to move the June board meeting to June 19th by Kathy & seconded by Floyd. Motion passed.
Reading and Approval of Minutes: Minutes were approved.
Reading and Approval of Financial Report: Total receipts 24,473.28. Claims 25,642.53.
Approval of Bills: Ruth made a motion to approve the financial report & pay the bills, Alicia seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Report of the Director
- Programming updates – Programing notes will be attached to these minutes.
- Other – Easter Bunny will be here April 1st from 9:30-11:30.
– Winter Reading Program was completed by 24 patrons out of the 38 that signed up.
917 books were read!
– We were approached by CICOA about having a daily meal service here at the library.
After lots of discussion it was decided that we are not able to do so at this time.
We would be happy to partner with them to provide programs and revisit the meal
program in a few years.
- Food Packing event – We have 20 volunteers signed up already for the food pack event with
IDES on April 11th. We can still take 30 additional volunteers.
Several board members took signup sheets to others in the community.
