Regular Monthly Meeting – VIRTUAL

November 17, 2020

Call to Order : Called to order at 6:03 by Loretta Sutherland. Jill Cali, Matt Lensiengne, Ruth Gerbig, Laura Glunt,  DeeDee Feeney, and Loretta Sutherland were present.  Also present was Kim Riley, director of the library.  Board member Kathy Bray was absent.

 

Call for Quorum: Quorum fulfilled

 

Reading and Approval of Minutes: 

 

Reading and Approval of Financial Report – Total receipts $18,645.15    Total Claims $24,229.18   Jill motioned to approved and seconded by Ruth to approve financial report and pay bills.

 

Approval of Bills – Bills approved

 

Report of the Director:

 

  1. Programming updates- Santa: We are going to do a drive by Santa. Wooden toys to be passed out to kids driving through and a craft bag.  Dial-A-Story had 45 calls in October.
  2. Other – Eliana Henderson is our 2021 ACTS student. A new Thanksgiving craft is available. Discussed what plans were if the county goes RED.  We will continue on as is unless things get worse.  1st we will go to curb side pick-up and staff may still come in.  They can work on Evergreen at that time. Unless the state board says differently.

Unfinished Business

 

  1. Evergreen-32.4%
  2. IT contracts – AllesTek – All is going well.
  3. Set a tentative date of December 9th to close the library to work on Evergreen unless we have to close otherwise.
  4. Duke Energy Proposal- Motion to approve with the Duke Energy proposal of replacing all light bulbs to LEDs was made by Ruth, and seconded by Jill.  Motion passed.

 

 

 

New Business

  1. Policy updates – None
  2. Review of recurring community room events for 2021- Motion made for the use of the community room by the Rotary and the Phi Beta Psi sorority.

Motion carried.
